The Ghost of Pop Punk
In 2010 James Jackson began traveling anyway he could, playing his songs on the streets of the USA. Also known as "Kaiser Solzie" he became known by many across the country as the kid with the guitar, telling stories of his travels, friends, and finding your way. He released many DIY solo albums with help from friends along the way. In 2015 he was joined by drummer Lenny Palmieri, and the two began bringing their music to festivals like Riot Fest in Chicago, Fest in Gainseville, and playing outside punk shows like NOFX and Pennywise across the country. This year, joined by guitarist Brian Lorenzo and bassist/engineer Jamie McMann, Kaiser Solzie has evolved into a punk force to be reckoned with. Celebrating the release of their debut EP on June 19th, completely produced at McMann's new studio "Ground Zero" in their hometown of Rochester NY, the band hit the road playing the final cross country run of the summer festival the Vans Warped Tour. Bringing the soul of the streets to the stage, Kaiser Solzie is an example of what one kid, one dream, and one guitar can turn into.
Heading into 2020 Kaiser Solzie parted ways with its current lineup to introduce the Birdslow Bros. Ethan and Anthony on drums and bass, making Kaiser Solzies lineup a true musical/humanitarian unit. Recording new record in Feb this year with plans to hit the road this summer.
